Application

Cerium oxide is an inorganic substance with chemical formula of CeO2 and light yellow or yellowish brown powder. Density 7.13g/cm3, melting point 2397 ℃, insoluble in water and alkali, slightly soluble in acid. At a temperature of 2000 ℃ and a pressure of 15 MPa, cerium oxide can be reduced by hydrogen to obtain cerium oxide. When the temperature is free at 2000 ℃ and the pressure is free at 5 MPa, cerium oxide is slightly yellow with red and pink. Its performance is to be used as polishing material, catalyst, catalyst carrier (assistant), ultraviolet absorber, fuel cell electrolyte, automobile exhaust absorber, electronic ceramics, etc.
Oxidizing agent. Catalysts for organic reactions. Iron and steel are analyzed as rare earth metal standard samples. Oxidation-reduction titration analysis. Decolorized glass. Glass enamel sunshade. heat-resisting alloy.
It can be used as an additive in the glass industry, as a plate glass grinding material, and also play an anti-ultraviolet role in cosmetics. It has been extended to the grinding of glasses, optical lenses and picture tubes, and plays the role of decolorization, clarification, ultraviolet ray of glass and absorption of electronic lines.

Cerium Introduction

1. Used as reducing agent and catalyst.
2. Used as alloy additive, used in the production of cerium salt, etc., and also used in medicine, leather, glass, textile and other industries.
3. Cerium can be used as catalyst, arc electrode, special glass, etc. Cerium alloy is resistant to high heat and can be used to make jet propulsion parts.
